Amy Jane

Amy of blogging goodness was the first volunteer for my attempt to practise my lighting skills. She was infinitely patient and wasn't at all condecending of the more feeble attempts.

Thanks Amy! You rock!

Meh, you made it easy mate :D getting the lighting is definitely a challenge but making a subject that's easy on eyes is out of my realm of control!

Would like to do that alley way/stencil wall shot sometime too!

Cheers

Hash

Hash -

Once again, very impressive shots. I hate looking at your work (inferiority complex!!). What's even more impressive is you actually finding the time to get out there and shoot - my trusty D200 has been collecting dust for too long and Sky has taken 7 weeks so far to transfer our internet connection to our new flat so no chance to post anything lately. Keep up the good work and let me know what you used for the lighting shots! Ben

Hey Ben,

All the photos are attempts to replicate others I have seen especially the lighting. The only kit I've been using is the uber Sb-800 hooked up to a single light stand and brolly ala http://strobist.blogspot.com (oh and I've been borrowing Claire's SB-600 too! Mmmm wireless i-TTL goodness, the rest is done in lightroom.

Finding time? Hell mate, I'm a Ph.D student, they don't pay me enough to work a 60hr week unlike you! :D Would love to see some more of your photos from Europe. I wish I had some more time over there.

Take care! hope you guys are well settled into London by now, if you wanted more Australian friends (as if you need more) I have two from Adelaide who have gone back to Barclays and work in the Financial district.
